The small fishing village of Bali is situated about 40 km west of Crete's capital Heraklion. The main focus of the vilalge is its harbour, a typically attractive feature of this village.Although Bali has recently grown considerably in terms of tourism, it still retains its original charm.
Bali also features a great beach that has very clear water and a number of small coves. The nightlife in Bali is quite lively given its size and is centred on the laid-back mix of tavernas, bars, and waterfront restaurants mainly around the fishing harbour, which is the social hub of the village.
