Historic Monuments
The ancient ruins of Kition are located in the north west of Larnaca, where there are temples that date back to the 13th century B.C., including the spectacular Phoenician Temple of Astarte. The Choirokoitia Neolithic Settlement is even older, dating back to 7,000 B.C. and it is renowned as one of the best preserved pre-historic sites in the eastern Mediterranean.
