Corfu is the second largest of the Ionian Islands and is off the West coast of Greece. It is also referred to as the ‘Emerald Isle’ and despite being such a small island; it has plenty to offer in terms of architecture, activities and vegetation.

Exquisite architecture

Take a stroll through Corfu town where you will be met with elegant Venetian houses, narrow alleys and the imposing British Palace of SS Michael and George. The Old Fortress on the eastern side of the town is an impressive infrastructure dating back to the 15th century.

Albania day trip

Why not take a day trip to nearby Albania and explore the magnificent ancient ruins at Butrint. The archaeological site includes a theatre, a Christian church and the remains of a temple. There are fantastic views of the site and lake from the top of the hills.

Kassiopi  – The pretty harbour of Kassiopi is a real focal point, you can sit and watch the world go by in the harbour square whilst sipping a refreshing drink. There are a number of boat trips on offer which provide you with stunning views of the hills full of olive groves, vines and plantations. The beach is perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the clear blue waters. The beautiful Kassiopitissa church is well worth a visit.
