Grand Masters Palace
The Palace of the Grand Master was built in the 14th century by the Knights of Rhodes and was used as a fortress. The original palace was damaged in 1856 but was rebuilt in 1912 and has now been converted into a fascinating museum.

The Avenue of the Knights is unique. It's a long and steep road lined with palaces from the Ottoman era and the inns of the Knights’ Order. The Hospital of the Knights was restored by the Italians during their occupation and today houses the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, where you can admire the magnificent statue of the Aphrodite of Rhodes from the 1st Century B.C.
