Overview

Fuerteventura Holidays

Fuerteventura is the second largest and oldest of the seven main Canary Islands. Its unique landscape, crystal clear seas and all year round sunshine make it a popular destination for sun worshippers. The sea temperature is generally warm and the island has very little rainfall.

The wonderful beaches, spacious surroundings and relaxing atmosphere attract travellers to the island year after year. There are plenty of historical sites to visit and the architecture around the island is exquisite.

Whether you want a relaxing holiday or an action packed one, with so much on offer, you will be sure to find something to suit you on your Fuerteventura holiday.

Holidays in Fuerteventura – come and discover the beauty of this island

Fuerteventura boasts beautiful landscapes and unspoilt coastlines making it perfect for water sports, tropical gardens and historical sightseeing.

Water sports

The hot climate and stunning coastline makes it an excellent destination for watersports. From boat trips to dolphin safaris and diving, watersports fans will be spoilt for choice on their Fuerteventura holidays.

Tropical gardens & a zoo

The lush tropical gardens and zoo at La Lojita Oasis Park are well worth a visit. The gardens include an impressive cactus garden and tall leafy palm trees. The zoo is home to lots of animals including reptiles, primates, birds and other mammals. You can also go on a camel ride which is favoured by travellers to the zoo. Make some time too for the birds of prey and parrot shows, which are highly enjoyable.

Historical sites – El Toston

This fortified tower built on the cliffs overlooking the picturesque harbour of El Cotillo pays tribute to 17th century architecture and was built to protect the small port from invaders. Three iron canons were also used at the time as a defence mechanism for the coast. Nowadays, El Toston is a place of culture and history and plays host to various art exhibitions.  This is a must on your Fuerteventura holidays.
