Overview

Majorca Holidays

Majorca, surrounded by the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, is the largest of the Balearic Islands and offers much more than just beach-based holidays.

A warm climate guarantees sunshine throughout the year and while the beaches are soft, golden, plentiful and not to mention popular, the north and west coastline provides a beautiful contrast of a wild, rugged mountain range. The calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea make the beaches ideal for those looking for watersport action whilst still being safe enough for all the family to enjoy, including the grandparents!

On a Majorca holiday there’s plenty of culture to be explored, with beautiful castles and churches as well as Arab Baths – a surviving remembrance of the long period of Moorish occupation. If it’s the world-renowned nightlife you’re after, a Majorca holiday does not disappoint but there’s much more to this island of contrasts. With every kind of taste catered for, there’s something for all the family.

Holidays in the Majorca – Europe’s favourite holiday destination

Majorca is one of Europe’s favourite holiday destinations. Enjoying a typical Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters, holidaymakers flock here year on year to take advantage of the guaranteed great weather, fine sandy beaches and the array of activities to suit all ages.

Cuevas del Drac

Known as the Majorcan 8th wonder of the world, a trip to these caves is one of the highlights of any holiday in Majorca. Explore the illuminated caverns of this vast underground attraction, named after the dragon that was said to guard these caves. Stalactites and stalagmites cast eerie shadows but the icing on the cake is by far a boat ride across Lake Martel – Europe’s largest underground lake.

Culture in Palma

Visit the capital of the Balearic Islands and add a real mix of culture and cosmopolitan chic to your holiday in Majorca. A magnificent Gothic cathedral dominates the old quarter and the Almundaina Palace, originally the residence of the Moorish kings of Majorca, regally stands by its side and is now the official Palma residence of the Spanish royal family. A short stroll from here leaves to a pleasant square of open-air cafes, at the heart of the pedestrian shopping district with its many small speciality shops.

Water Parks

Majorca is home to a huge selection of wet and wild fun. Wherever you are on the island you’re never far from the slippery slides and thrilling rides of some of Europe’s most exciting water parks. A great day out for all the family, the only decision you have to make is which one to visit.  Aqualand and Western Park are the biggest on the Med whilst Hidropark, near Alcudia has plenty of chutes, pools and even mini golf courses to keep everyone entertained.
