The castle was built in the 15th century by the Knights of Rhodes during the crusades and is another example of the wonderful historic sites in Bodrum. The Underwater Archeology Museum is a most fascinating attraction displaying artefacts recovered from the sea and provides an interesting insight into the world of underwater archaeologists.
