Historical Landmarks
Kaleici retains all its original ancient Turkish archaeological characteristics and along with the port's marina has been completely restored. The Antalya Museum houses phenomenal ancient treasures and is one of the most highly regarded archaeological museums in the world. Hadrian's Gate - which was built in the 2nd Century BC by the Romans in honour of the Emperor Hadrian - is also a fascinating site.

Shopping in Antalya is an exciting experience, with traditional products sold in stalls along the narrow streets of the old town. There are also several large modern shopping malls around the old town, one of the biggest being Migros.

On an Antalya holiday you should sample the local Turkish food served in atmospheric restaurants in the old town of Kaleici. From lamb shish kebabs to spicy seafood dishes there is something for everyone, even a delicious fusion of Western and Eastern styles.
