Places to Go

The Caves
One of the highlights of Majorca, and a top tourist attraction, are its caves situated on the eastern coast. The Caves of Drach are probably the most popular, but there are other, less touristy, underground attractions too. The Caves of Ham, for example, exhibit some fascinating formations that look like fish hooks, while the stunningly beautiful Luis Salvator Cave has the bonus of a huge natural underground lake that will leave you awestruck.
Cala Mondrago Natural Park
This natural park boasts beautiful and unspoilt landscapes which remain untouched and undeveloped, unlike other areas of the Majorcan coast. Walking trails are a perfect way to soak up these beautiful surroundings, with scented pine trees filling the air with aroma as you spot wildlife along the way. Catch the minitrain to the area from any of the local Calas and spend the day exploring the great outdoors, as nature intended.
Santueri Castle
Situated near the village of S'horta, Santueri Castle provides a picture-perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of the surrounding landscapes, offering some incredible views and the chance to explore a little further afield. It sits 475m above sea level ' you can only imagine the panoramic views that await!

Things to Do

Shop Till You Drop in Cala d'Or
The resort centre of Cala d'Or has a whole host of boutique and designer stores to peruse, as well as souvenir stores to browse. Take a look at the various clothing and accessories that the stores have on offer, before picking up a couple of memento trinkets for you and your loved ones back home. The nearby village of Felanitx has a fantastic market on a Sunday too, for you to haggle for a bargain or two!
Tee Off
Practice your swing near the Caves of Drach, at the Vall d'Or golf course, where you can easily while away an afternoon on the 18-hole golf course. If you don't fancy wandering the fairway for the entire day, pop to the driving range or put your putting skills to the test instead.
Take a Catamaran around the Coves
If there's one perfect way to explore the area around Cala Esmeralda, it's by catamaran. This beautiful strip of coastline is simply stunning - even better when you're on board a fancy boat with a BBQ for lunch! Stop off at the renowned El Trenc beach, before sailing around the coastline to Es Carbo for a perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of the area.
