Majorca is the largest and most popular of the Balearic islands, situated in between the islands of Ibiza and Menorca. This is an island of diversity and offers much more than simply beach-based holidays. Its rugged landscape changes from dramatic mountains to gently terraced hillsides and fertile valleys.
There are activities and resorts to suit every holiday mood; from fun in the sun in lively resorts such as Magalluf, Palma Nova and Cala d'Or, to rest and relaxation on the fine sandy beaches of Puerto Pollensa. For fun in the sun for all age groups, Alcudia is a very popular resort. On the 11km stretch of sand, a wide range of watersports are available and for evening entertainment, Alcudia is one of the most cosmopolitan towns on the island. Santa Ponsa, situated close by to Cala Vinas, sits on a sparkling blue bay and offers a great choice of restaurants for al-fresco diners. Cala San Vicente and Torrenova, which sit to the North and South of the island respectively are both reasonably quiet resorts with stunning views over the crystal clear waters. Although purposefully built, Calas de Mallorca, blends in with the rugged coastal line over-looking two bays and leaves you refreshingly relaxed. S Illot, on the East of the island, is a great resort for all ages and is fast becoming very popular.
Whichever resort you choose, there is no escaping the hospitable nature of the Majorcan people.
