Food And Drink
Your meal arrangements will be detailed on your invoice as confirmed at the time of booking and will be shown as "Board Basis". It is important to remember that every hotel, resort, apartment and villa will differ in size and facilities available, therefore the information below is only a guide.
Self Catering
If you have chosen Self Catering accommodation for your holiday, you can expect to be responsible for all of your own meals and drinks. In this type of accommodation you can also expect, in most cases, either a studio or an apartment equipped with adequate living facilities (including a kitchenette with cooking equipment).
Bed & Breakfast
This type of accommodation includes breakfast only and the style of breakfast you receive
differs from place to place.
In Turkey and Greece this may be continental
style. This generally consists of a selection of breads, rolls, croissants, jams and cold meat.
Budget hotels may serve this presented on a tray, whilst most other hotels offer a cold buffet.
You should not expect hot items unless otherwise specified.
American/Traditional Breakfast - Generally consists of a hot and cold buffet.
Half Board

For half board accommodation, meals included would be breakfast and normally dinner, although some properties include lunch rather than an evening meal.
All Inclusive
With all inclusive accommodation, all meals and locally produced drinks are included. However, some restrictions may apply and these can be seen in the hotel description.
Direct Holidays Team Tip
When on a self catering or half board basis, check out the locations of the restaurants you want to try in your resort. That way you can plan your day so that you end up in that area by lunch and dinner time!
