Did you know that 97% of Turkey is located in Western Asia whilst the European side is separated by the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara and the Dardanelles? The largest city, Istanbul is split over both continents, so technically you can be in two places at once as you cross over the Bosphorus Bridge.

All of the most popular beach destinations are on the Asian side of Turkey, so if you’ve ever visited the country I bet you didn’t know you’ve actually been in Asia! If you’ve not been to Turkey let’s take a look at the stand out hotels and attractions.

Paragliding – Oludeniz

Oludeniz is such a beautiful place with rolling hills, white sandy beaches and the most amazing cobalt blue sea. It’s a shame you only get to see it from the air on your arrival and departure, so why not see more on a thrilling paragliding ride. From the top of Babadag (Father Mountain) you’ll glide effortlessly along the coast with your guide/pilot pointing out landmarks until you gently land back on firm ground.

Termeessos – Antalya

If you’d like to sample some of Turkey’s amazing history there’s no better place to visit than Termeessos. It’s one of the country’s best preserved historical sites, you’ll find a calm and tranquil atmosphere surrounded by pine forests in the Gulluk Dagi National Park. It’s located 34km north of Antalya and features a large amphitheatre and buildings built into the side of the mountains; a truly unique attraction in the mountains of Turkey.

Marmaris Marina – Marmaris

The most predominant feature of Marmaris; the marina, has an excellent variety of things to do. Whether you enjoy shopping, exploring the ancient castle or wandering through the breath-taking selection of boats and yachts there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. You’ll also find a great range of restaurants and bars, perfect for seeing the marina and boats lit up as the sun sets below the horizon.
